The conflict extends beyond the DRC, destabilizing the region and affecting families worldwide. Armed groups like the M23 rebel movement commit atrocious human rights violations, driven by the pursuit of valuable resources like gold, diamonds, and coltan (essential for electronics).
Shockingly, this "silent genocide" receives little coverage from Western media. Activists and organizations such as Save the Children, World Vision, and Doctors Without Borders are tirelessly working to provide aid and raise awareness, but more support is desperately needed.
