~~Presenting Communities~~
⭐Altair EcoVillage
We at Altair are forming a cohousing community in Kimberton, Pennsylvania. We are looking to build 29 town houses and duplexes created around the following objectives:
- opportunity for diverse religious, ethnic, and racial backgrounds to live together in supportive relationships
- architectural design promotes a comfortable balance between community interaction and privacy
- attractive homes and common facilities designed on a model that is ecologically sound, emphasizing moderate consumption, resource sustainability, and horticulture
⭐Collectivo Tacotal
Collectivo Tacotal is a 25 family consensus-based ecovillage founded in 2008. The intentional community is based on the principles of permaculture, non-violence, ecological stewardship and interconnectedness. The land is roughly 60 acres and runs along the majestic Rio Machuca which creates its eastern border. The community is made up of a diverse group of people from the US, Costa Rica, and Mexico with a shared love of music, earth-stewardship and intentional gatherings.
⭐Dandelion Community
The vision of Dandelion is to be an egalitarian family-style sub-community of perhaps 8-10 adults (and however many kids) to do their best to live in a regenerative and sustainable manner. We’re located on 12.7 acres held by a community land trust at Red Earth Farms in Northeast Missouri. We are close with neighbors at Dancing Rabbit and Sandhill Farm and also are a part of Foxholler Farmstead which is a group dedicated to producing delicious food in alignment with our best practices regarding agriculture and animals. We value ideas of permaculture, female empowerment, living low on the economic resource scale, DIY, open communication, self-motivation, care for one another.
