A recent article came out that talked about the Sims 4 taking over 12 minutes to load on console. Does this matter if you don't play on console? Yes, it matters because if it loads that slowly on console, it is a matter of time before it comes to PC. Console parity means that console and PC are as identical as they can be, so what happens on one will eventually affect the other. Sims 4 load times have been getting longer and longer as the game goes on. That's pretty normal, considering the game has to load more and more content. What isn't normal is the loading times jumping dramatically after a new pack is released. The Sims 4 loads slow is a common complaint for console, sometimes reaching 15 - 20 minutes on a bad day. Even if The Sims 4 for PC only take 5 minutes to load, that is still a long time for a game that was stripped of features so the game would run better. Many people have been experiencing the loading screen taking forever, endless white screen, stuck loading forever and glitches with the loading screen. And it seems to get worse every time EA patches the game or releases a new pack. It's kind of hard to play and enjoy your game if it doesn't load or takes so long to load you could order a pizza and have it delivered before you can play.
We really shouldn't need tutorials to help rectify the loading screen issues. How do I make the Sims 4 run or load faster? How can I get my game to load if it doesn't? These are issues that EA has to address, especially on console where broken CC and mods are not to blame. The Sims 4 won't open is a huge problem for a large portion of the console players and just because it doesn't affect you doesn't mean that it isn't important to bring to light these issues. Soon we will get to the 30 minute loading times that some people say they have with the Sims 3. If it takes you 30 minutes to load any game, you might want to take a look at your mods/cc or your hardware.
