"The World Heritage Committee is going to examine the state of conservation of several sites, including the two sites of Ukraine. UNESCO has been working a lot to assist the authorities, and even the director general of UNESCO visited, Ukraine to go and contribute to the assessment of the damages. As you know, she was in Kyiv, and she visited one of the sites that is going to be examined. And this is a normal process of the World Heritage to assess the situation of the site that requires a broader mobilisation of the entire committee to help save the site. And the two sites have been assessed as being in danger because of the war. And so that's the reason why the committee will examine the possibility, and, the recommendation made by the experts to inscribe them on the World Heritage list in danger."
