Silk artist Warren Hartz mixes graduated colors of silk dyes for hand dyeing silk scarves, ties, hair scrunchies and silk paintings. The silk dyes come from the US and France, and can be mixed to create an infinite number of possible colors. Some dyes are darker for deep, rich shades, others are lighter. Some react well to salt, making beautiful patterns, others not so much. You can blend dyes to make any colors you want.
