Light a matchstick with water 😮 || Science Hacks Episode-1||Using sanitizer || FUN #shorts #science
Can you light a matchstick on water with sanitizer?
In this video, I tried to light a matchstick on water with sanitizer. I was curious to see if the alcohol in the sanitizer would evaporate and create enough vapor to ignite the matchstick.
As you can see in the video, it worked! The matchstick was able to light on the water, even though there was no other fuel source. This is because the alcohol in the sanitizer has a very low ignition temperature. It only needs to reach about 680 degrees Fahrenheit to start burning.
This experiment is a good demonstration of the science behind hand sanitizer fire. When hand sanitizer dries, it evaporates into gas. This gas can be flammable, especially if it is exposed to a flame. That's why it's important to avoid using hand sanitizer near open flames.
I hope you enjoyed this experiment! Let me know in the comments if you have any other questions about hand sanitizer fire.
