First track of Vana'diel Chill vol. 2! For this one, I did a laid-back, chill, jazzy remix of Ru'Lude Gardens from Final Fantasy XI! This song was highly requested for vol 1, but being one of the more intricate songs on the FFXI ost and having a very unique vibe, it was a bit more difficult to work with. I decided to give it a loose feeling, with melodies going off-rhythm and layered drums slightly out of sync. The goal here was to transform the original tune, which brought to mind images of hoity-toity uptight nobles in a ballroom, into something you might hear in a dingy old bar. I like how it turned out, and I hope you do too!
