Underneath the sanctum of Mata Vaishno Devi, the USBRL faces its most challenging rail tunnel—T33, previously known as T1. Spanning 3200 meters, T33 traverses through the Main Boundary Thrust, leading to significant water seepage amid weak rocks. About 100 meters of the tunnel remains incomplete, delaying the full connection of the railway route between Srinagar and Jammu. #shorts
