You are able to cook the japanese curry rice tastes better than coco ichibanya!

Japanese dish karē is basically curry and listed at TasteAtlas AWARDS 2022 as the Best Traditional Food in the World. Japanese karē got 4.9 stars (out of a maximum of 5) from Taste.
Taste Atlas said in the tweet that the main distinction between the Indian and Japanese curries is that the “Indian version uses a combination of spices, while Japanese karē is made with a curry powder.”

[Preparation]

Take out the meat from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature.


Ingredients

[Rice]

3 cups of rice
540-560ml water


[Curry]

150g pork belly
300g onion (1 large onion)
120g carrot (1 medium carrot)
1 apple

900cc water
1 to 1.5 tablespoons consommé
30g fried onions

Curry Roux Use S&B GOLDEN CURRY hot curry roux (4 pcs.) to taste.　4 pcs.
1 1/2 Tbsp. curry powder

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon chuno sauce
1 tablespoon sugar
Pinch of salt
pepper to taste

1 tablespoon instant coffee
1 tablespoon vinegar

[Tonkatsu]

Pork loin (I made it 2cm thick this time)

Flour as needed
Bread crumbs as needed
4 eggs
Water as needed
Salt and pepper to taste


[Garnish]

★ Purple onion with sweet vinegar
　　Pickled cucumber
　　Carrot salad
　　pak choi　　　
and others of your choice♪♪

◇ ◇ ◇ Method of preparation

[Rice]

(1) Wash and strain the rice (about 10 minutes).

1) Wash and drain the grits in a colander (about 10 minutes). 2) Remove from colander and place in a pot with cold water.

2) Remove from colander and place in pot. 3) Soak in cold water in pot for 30 minutes.

(3) Bring to a boil over high-medium heat, uncovered.

When the water comes to a boil, stir once. When the water comes to a boil again, cover the pot with a lid and cook over low heat for 10 minutes.

5) After 10 minutes, turn off the heat and steam for 10 minutes without opening the lid.

⑥ After steaming, stir from the bottom of the pot.

The rice is ready to be cooked.


[Curry]

(1) Put oil in a pan and saute onions until slightly fragrant, then add carrots and pork.

When the meat is cooked, add grated apple, water, consomme and fried onion.
　
Simmer for about 10 minutes.

When the ingredients are cooked, put the curry roux in a bowl and dissolve the roux in the soup.

(If you do not have a blender, you can use a blender or food processor.)

(6) When the mixture starts to simmer over medium heat, turn off the heat, add curry powder and mix well, then add the dissolved roux.

7) After adding the roux, heat the pot and when it starts to simmer, add the medium thick sauce, Worcestershire sauce, sugar, salt and pepper and mix well.

⑧ Finish by adding coffee and vinegar, and simmer over low heat for about 5 minutes.


　
[Tonkatsu]

1) Cut the loin into stripes and beat it with a meat tenderizer.

2) Season with salt and pepper, and dust generously with flour. 3) Pour the beaten egg mixture over the pork cutlets.

(3) Dip the pork loin into the beaten egg mixture, and cover it evenly with the egg mixture.
(At this time, it is better to use a bamboo skewer rather than your hands.)

(4) Put the dumplings into the breadcrumb pad and coat them firmly with breadcrumbs.

(5) Deep fry in oil at about 160-170℃.
(5) Deep fry the fish in oil at about 160-170°C (160-170°F) for about 3 minutes after placing in the oil.

⑥ When both sides are fried colorfully, put them on a colander and drain off the oil.

7) While frying, the meat will be cooked through, so leave it standing for 2 to 3 minutes.

⑧ When done, cut the meat into bite-size pieces.
