Often on the healing journey, we find ourselves on a mission to fix ourselves, coming from a deep belief that we are broken in some way.

This idea that if I fix myself, if I heal all the things, if I find this perfect balance of masculine/feminine, or whatever it is we think we need, we will be whole, happy, finally deserve or be worthy of and receive the love, acceptance and belonging we have craved for most of our lives.

But if you’re leading from a place of I need to fix me, you are actually signaling to yourself that there is something wrong with you, that you’re not loveable as you are and therefore must contort and change yourself in order to be loveable.

So you get caught in this trap of fixing, not feeling good enough, fixing something else, still not good enough, desperately searching for something or someone that will fix you so that you can finally have the love or the life you deeply desire.


Today I want to explore the idea around masculine and feminine energies, being too little or too much of one or the other, desperately trying to find some perfect balance, as if this would lead to something in particular…


Can you relate?

Relate to feeling too much or too little or something, trying to find some form of perfect, whether consciously or unconsciously but constantly coming up short… Like nothing is working, the feeling you must be doing something wrong, when will I finally find that perfect balance so I can have x y z...


I was caught in this self-judgment cycle many times on my journey and more recently noticed how heavily I felt I was in my masculine energy, it didn’t feel safe to be in my feminine energy, and in that pursuit to create more balance I found myself wronging, judging and shaming myself for being too masculine, and my being too masculine must be the reason I was having challenges in business, my relationship, motherhood, and really all areas of life…

I began to glorify the feminine and abandon my masculine, only shutting myself down more rather than allowing myself to explore and play with both energies, the dance of the masculine and feminine, the honoring of both, loving and embracing both, and knowing that they are both Divine, they are both essential, this led to the exploration and journeying into sacred union, shifting from separation and polarity to love of all, a deep devotion to love of all, love of self, love of all the energies that dance and intertwine within us.

You see masculine and feminine are not referring to Man & Woman, we all have both feminine and masculine energies flowing within us, and through finding sacred union within, we can find it without, in the external world, in our relationships, in motherhood, in business, where we allow space for both, feeling into when there is the impulse for action, inspired, aligned action via the magnetic pull, and when there is the magnetic pull to go within, to rest, to express, to be in stillness, to self-nurture,

This is the journey of the masculine and feminine, the dance between the two, it's not about finding some perfect balance, there is no such thing as different times, seasons and situations will require a unique combination, it's about building your muscle of discernment, reconnecting to your inner knowing, intuition, instinct, and expanding your ability to be with all that arises, to love all that arises, to play within both energies…

When you do this you open up to the magic of life, the magic of energy, the magic within you.

This is about loving all of you and calling upon the energies that will most serve and support you, your highest good and the highest good of all in each moment, in each situation, in each season…
