The Sentier Sous-Marine, Plage de la Plagette, Cap d'Agde, France. Underwater snorkelling trail
While camping along the coast Heather and I sought out the best place to go snorkelling. By the old harbour in Cap d'Agde, there are two places recommended online to go snorkelling. The first is in the bay of Plage de la Conque, and the second is in the sea of Plage de la Plagette.
The Sentier Sous-Marine at Plage de la Plagette is on the windward side of the peninsular. The water is a little more choppy than the leeward side and I was buffeted by the underwater currents as I was filming.
The underwater trail is marked by a series of five numbered buoys stretch over 200m. In this video, I swim and film between buoys 4 and 5.
The underwater snorkelling trails are located in a protected marine area called the Natura 2000: Posidonies du cap d'Agde
If you are interested in finding out more information visit the Cap d'Agde tourism website.

There are other underwater snorkelling trails dotted along the French coast, down towards Perpignan and along the coast towards Nice. The Sentier Sous-Marine are Marine Protected Areas.
I filmed this video with a DJI Osmo Action 3 camera. I did the colour correction and some of the video editing using Davinci Resolve 18. I found it easier to add the titles and captions using Clipchamp.
