Did you know you can project a 3D hologram right from your smart phone? This is a simple craft you can do with ordinary materials that is sure to amaze your friends! For this, you will need some card stock, a piece of typing paper and a sheet of transparency paper. Other tutorials tell you to use a CD cover to cut out a similar template but a CD case is very difficult to cut even with a razor knife. This is obviously much easier.
You can find 3D hologram videos on YouTube just by searching 3D hologram videos. The effect looks pretty good and it looks like the images are floating above the phone. I’d have to say that this is a bit smaller than I first imagined but it does look like a hologram you’d maybe see in a movie. I hope you were able to follow along and make a hologram for yourself.
Because the lens in this project is so small, look for a future video where I plan to make 2nd generation hologram projector that is larger and easier to see.
