• Make sure your computer is connected to the internet.
• Go to device manager and click on hardware changes.
• Now a notification will appear saying that your device is installing the software.
Note: In some cases, this step is enough to fix the issue but, in some models, you might need to manually install the driver
• Now open your internet browser and search for “intel serial bus controller drivers”.
• Click on the link that says “downloads for intel USB 3.0 extensible host controller driver”.
• Select the latest version of the driver and download it.
• For that, you need to accept the license terms and conditions.
• You need to extract the zip file. After that open the folder.
• Then double click on the setup and allow it to install.
• Now it will install a driver for all the missing programs.
• Then click next, after that select Finish.
• And finally, restart your device
If this method doesn’t help now try the advanced method.
• Go to the extracted folder, then open the driver’s folder.
• Open the folder with your respective window and its operating system.
• Now copy the full path of this folder.
• Then open the device manager from the control panel.
• Then select the universal serial bus controller and right-click on it.
• Now select the option “update driver software”
• A window will appear with two options, select “Browse my computer for driver software”.
• Then select the option “Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer”.
• Now scroll down select “universal serial bus controller” then select on next.
• Then click on “have disk” and paste the path that you copied earlier and click OK.
• select the model of your driver and click next.
• Now your device will install the driver it might take a couple of minutes.
• Then click close and scan for hardware changes. this will fix your problem
• At last restart, your computer and you are good to go.
