Here is a low lying coffee table . . . sort of industrial/steampunk looking with accessories.
I found this piece of wood in a discarded bin at Michael's. It didn't have the lower box so it was less than a dollar. My husband stained it, and it looks stunning.
My husband used a larger wooden dowel to cut wheels, and I used some steampunk metal pieces to give the wheels a very unique look (bronze over bronze and silver on the outside). Thus, there are three pieces of metal superglued to each wheel.
I added the ragdoll cat and found some catnip that came in "teabags." I converted one of them to a pillow and placed it on the coffee table. I love that look on the teabag, now pillow. It complements the cat on the table so well.
I had found some glass flasks sets at Michael's under $5 and some came with things in them (antique cards and really tiny steampunk metal pieces). If you try to buy these things off of eBay, you will pay triple the cost after shipping and handling. I put catnip in one flask and quickly ran out of it so I used dill weed in another flask.
The only problem is that the wheels aren't perfectly straight, but that is an easy fix I'll make tonight.
I hope you like the end look. I am starting to really appreciate how simple props can add so much to a 1/6 scale scene. I hope you like this creation.
Here is the viral video I was referring to about a cat knocking a glass off a coffee table. It started with a remote control and moved on to a glass (I think a candle holder). I love this clip.
