One of the most refreshing cocktails you can have is a Mule, it is also a cocktail that has endless variations. So simple typically consisting of a spirt, lime or lemon juice and ginger beer. They can be built quickly and are always refreshing. Leading the pack is the original the Moscow Mule but other popular variations are the Kentucky Mule, the Irish Mule, the Italian Mule, the Autumn Mule and one that could easily become your new favorite the Dead Sea Mule. Created by Bartender Michael Nimcek of Los Angeles, this cocktail mixes the earthy smoky flavor of Mezcal, the tart lime, the sweet pomegranate and spicy of ginger beer perfectly. Ingredients
2 oz mezcal
.75 oz fresh lime juice
1 oz grenadine
5 oz ginger beer to top
Mint sprig and candied ginger for garnish
Directions
Fill a Collins glass with ice. Add mezcal, lime to a shaker. Add ice and shake to chill. Top with ginger beer and grenadine then stir gently. Garnish with mint and candied ginger, add a straw and serve.
