The USC Price Center for Economic Development (CED) welcomes the first Advanced Manufacturing Partnership for Southern California (AMP SoCal) Bi-Annual Meeting.
In 2014, CED and the City of Los Angeles joined forces to develop and submit an ambitious proposal to the Economic Development Administration (EDA). Their application to become part of the nationwide Investing in Manufacturing Communities Partnership (IMCP) initiative was selected and Southern California became a federally designated manufacturing community. This important distinction acknowledges the significance of the region to the nation’s economy, while also designating preference to $1.3 billion in federal funding opportunities available throughout the country.
