Dimitris Papandreou expresses the deep concern of the Doctors of the World for the current situation on the islands.

Dimitris Papandreou is, since December 2015, the Field Coordinator of Médecin du Monde in Lesvos. He studied Management & Economics with specialisation in Local Government and Development and he is now a PhD candidate of Sociology. He also has a past as volunteer and employee of local and national NGOs, Coordinator of the Hospitality Center for Unaccompanied Minor Refugees in Lesvos, as well as Researcher and Administrative Officer in research programs of the University of the Aegean. In 2012 he was awarded during the Greek Competition “Vodafone - World of Difference”. He is also a founding member and Secretary of the Board of the Social Solidarity Association of Lesvos «Help».
