Wayne White began the installation by creating more than 50 cubist and rodeo inspired drawings and paintings. Then, White and a crew of artists and craftspeople helped to assemble the interactive sculptures out of wood, cardboard, glue, Styrofoam, mechanical parts, and paint. The result is what White calls a "cubist cowboy rodeo"!
White's remarkably diverse career includes working as a cartoonist, illustrator, animator, puppet designer, production designer for film and television, performer, and visual artist. Previously known for his puppet characters on "Pee-wee's Playhouse" or groundbreaking animated music videos like Peter Gabriel's "Big Time," he has quietly evolved from commercial artist to acclaimed fine artist over the last two decades.
