Start, Taskbar and Action Center Grayed out Accent Colors In Windows 10 [Tutorial]
While trying to enable colorized Taskbar, Start Menu and Action Center in Windows 10, I noticed that the option to enable colors on these UI elements was grayed out i.e. disabled.
Many users have reported a weird issue after installing a new feature update for Windows 10. While trying to make changes to the Colors settings in Windows 10, the Start, taskbar, and action center options are greyed out under Show accent color on the following surfaces.
Actually Windows 10 newer versions come with new Light Theme which shows Taskbar, Start Menu, Action Center, notification area fly-outs, context menus, etc in light Grey color as shown in following screenshot:
If you’re using a light theme on your computer, you’ll find that the Start, taskbar, and action center option in the color settings menu is grayed out. It means you can’t touch and edit it in your settings. The reason why it’s been disabled is because if Windows allowed you to change the accent color of these elements in a light theme, these elements might not be properly visible on your screen.
However, if you must work with the option and you’d like it enabled, there are a few ways to do it. Basically, you can just go into the Settings app and enable an option and it’ll activate the option for you.
This tutorial will apply for computers, laptops, desktops, and tablets running the Windows 10 operating system (Home, Professional, Enterprise, Education) from all supported hardware manufactures, like Dell, HP, Acer, Asus, Toshiba,Lenovo, and Samsung).
