Every hour is happy hour with this Blackberry French 75 cocktail. 🍹⁣
INGREDIENTS⁣

½ cup water⁣
½ cup sugar⁣
¼ cup fresh blackberries⁣
1 oz gin⁣
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice⁣
2 oz Champagne⁣
Fresh blackberries and lemon rind for garnish⁣
⁣
STEPS⁣
In a small pan, add the water, sugar and blackberries. Simmer for 5 minutes, stirring continuously. Then strain into a glass, heat proof container. Set aside to cool. Refrigerate once cooled, if not using immediately.⁣
In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, 2 tablespoons of the blackberry simple syrup, gin and fresh lemon juice. Shake vigorously. Strain into a cocktail glass and then top with champagne. If desired, garnish with fresh blackberries and/or lemon zest.⁣
