This presentation provided an overview and training on the Health Inequalities Data Tool, a unique interactive database containing disaggregated data for more than 170 indicators of health outcomes, daily living conditions and structural determinants of health. The Data Tool allows for all indicators of health outcomes and social determinants of health to be disaggregated by intersecting factors such as sex/gender, income, education, employment, occupation, geographic location, First Nations/Inuit/ Métis identity, cultural/racial background, immigrant status and sexual orientation. The Data Tool is one major deliverable of the Pan-Canadian Health Inequalities Reporting Initiative, a collaboration between the Public Health Agency of Canada, the Pan-Canadian Public Health Network, Statistics Canada, the First Nations Information Governance Centre and the Canadian Institute for Health Information. You can access the Data Tool here: [ Ссылка ] By systematically consolidating and making available health data on diverse populations, the tool strengthens our capacity to target interventions more effectively, support research, support health promotion programs and apply an intersectional and Sex and Gender-Based Analysis+ (SGBA+) lens to our work, and measure our progress in reducing health inequalities.
