A survivor of the jetliner that crashed in Karachi Friday told of his miraculous escape as the plane caught fire and landed in a crowded neighbourhood.

The flight carrying 98 people suffered an apparent engine failure during landing.

Officials said there were at least three survivors from the plane, and it was unknown how many people on the ground were hurt, with at least five houses destroyed.
