This audio includes the Text of “A Course in Miracles” from its Preface through Chapter 8. “A Course in Miracles”, also known as "the Course" or ACIM, was scribed by Dr. Helen Schucman. The Text is Book 1 of 4 (three books and one supplement) of the A Course in Miracles series. The Text is largely theoretical, and sets forth the concepts on which the Course's thought system is based. Its ideas contain the foundation for the lessons in Book 2, the Workbook for Students. Without the practical application the Workbook provides, the Text would remain largely a series of abstractions which would hardly suffice to bring about the thought reversal at which the Course aims.
The three books of A Course in Miracles: Text (which includes the "Preface"), Workbook for Students, Manual for Teachers (which includes the "Clarification of Terms"), and the two Supplements ("Psychotherapy: Purpose, Process, Practice" and "Song of Prayer") are also available to download as separate audiobooks from Audible, iTunes and Amazon. This audiobook of the Course was narrated by Jim Stewart and the two Supplements by Brad Cahill.
