Hi there! In this episode of The Paint Show I will review Cadmium Yellow Hue by Winsor & Newton Cotman watercolors.
This is a student grade paint that I have a soft spot in my heart for.
🎨 CADMIUM YELLOW HUE 🎨
I initially got started in watercolor using pans. When I finally decided to make the switch, after making some research, I purchased several Cotman tubes.
This makes this tube one of my very first watercolor tubes ever.
I got this alongside Ultramarine Blue (of course haha), Alizarin Crimson Hue and some others.
🎨 PAINT INFO 🎨
Here's some information about this one.
Pigments: PY97, PY65 (both arylide yellows)
Lightfastness A (best)
Series 1
Transparent
Staining
🎨 GREAT PAINT 🎨
I think the Cotman line of paints is actually a find!
If you are just thinking about moving to tubes, I would give this one a try.
They are cheap and of good quality.
Make sure to purchase only paints with the best lightfastness though.
🎨 PURCHASE HERE 🎨
You can get the tube here:

But I would actually recommend a small set like this one instead (MUCH cheaper per tube):

🎨 CONCLUSION 🎨
I hope you enjoyed this episode of The Paint Show!
I have several new paints by St. Petersburg's White Nights watercolors. I will share them in the next few weeks.
Let me know what you thought of this one, and if you'd consider getting it!
And we'll talk soon (:
