In the Hmong culture, when someone will become a shaman, another veteran shaman needs to guide that person to become a shaman. However, that rookie shaman has to be chosen by the Hmong shaman spirits first. This ritual happened after that initial stage. The ritual you see here is called "Tsa Thaj Neeb" in Hmong.
