Rajinikanth suffers minor injuries during ‘Man vs Wild’ shoot | TV5 News
Widely regarded as one of the most popular actors in South India, Rajinikanth - also known as Thalaivaa (leader) - began shooting for the special episode on Tuesday in forests around Karnataka's Mysore
Megastar Rajinikanth has suffered minor injuries on January 28 during the shooting of an episode of ‘Man vs Wild’ with British adventurer Bear Grylls at Bandipur forest in Karnataka. He arrived at Chennai airport after the incident occurred. While speaking to media at Chennai Airport, Rajinikanth said, “I have finished the shooting of an episode of 'Man vs Wild'. I have not received any wounds but just scratches due to little thorns that is it. I am alright.” He is the second Indian personality to be featured on the Discovery Channel programme after Prime Minister Narendra Modi appeared on the show in August, 2019.
Bear Grylls had hosted an episode of the popular show with PM Modi last year. The Discovery Channel programme saw PM Modi, 68, walking through the wild and taking a ride on a makeshift boat at the National Park in Uttarakhand. The Prime Minister also shared stories about his humble beginnings as a tea-seller's son and his solo trips of spiritual awakening into the Himalayas in his youth.
Discovery Channel said the episode made record impressions, with the highest-ever reach for the infotainment genre with 6.1 million tune-ins.
"It was a huge privilege to take Prime Minister Modi on a journey. I'm a huge fan of the wilderness and the beauty of India, not just the terrain, but also the people. We're coming back to India to do more this year," Mr Grylls told
