 Megan Barton-Hanson was reportedly once an escort, before joining the Love Island villa this past summer.  The model – who came fourth alongside boyfriend and ‘love of her life’ Wes Nelson, 20 – has been incredibly open about her past.  She was once a stripper in her native Southend, before going into glamour modelling and posing in really nothing at all – the shots of which she’s shared on Instagram.  While former colleagues of the 24-year-old claimed she had sugar daddies who showered her in gifts while working at the Sunset strip club, it has now been alleged she was once an escort of sorts.  The details aren’t all that clear – and the role of an escort can really range from simply having dinner with someone, let’s be honest – however one source told The Sun a ‘fixer’ arranged some dates for the new reality star with clients back in the day.  The source said: ‘Megan lived the high life before Love Island and had a really nice apartment in St Katherine’s Dock in London. She had a Range Rover Evoque and all the designer handbags and clothes she wanted.  ‘This was down to one older guy in particular, in his 50s, that she was with for a while. She also had dates and flings with other older guys who you could describe as Sugar Daddies. They loved having Megan on their arm and would do anything for her.’  The source claimed to the publication Megan ‘would meet one guy for dates at the Westbury Mayfair hotel in London’.  They added: ‘And the whole Sugar Daddy thing let her lead quite a glamorous lifestyle and she seemed to have plenty of cash and really nice things.’  However she’s keen to leave her past in the past, as she said she’d never go back to the glamour modelling jobs before she headed to Spain for the TV show.  The reality star, who previously said she was ’embarrassed’ by her past jobs, said: ‘I never want to go back to previous jobs I had like glamour modelling. I was in that industry for a long time – since I was 20 years old and I want to move on now. In the past I’ve done stripping too, but I’ve never done porn.’  She went further as she spoke on upcoming show Love Island: The Reunion: ‘I’ve done some things in the past I’m not proud of but I’m not a bad person.  ‘I don’t regret doing webcam. It is in the past, it is what it is. I understand it’s not the job you would want your daughter doing but after dancing it is an easy progression.  ‘I did it, made a lot of money and then stopped. I came from a background of not having much money so I thought money would make me happy.’  She added: ‘I got loads of money and was still unhappy and that’s when I realised love makes you happy.
