This video offers a complete comparison between a resort island from Maldives (Furaveri Island) and the "pearl" of French Polynesia, Bora Bora Island.
A tropical coral island that is approximately 750m long and 400m wide, Furaveri Maldives is situated in the exotic Raa Atoll, about 151km north of the capital city, Malé. Furaveri is just a mere 45-minute scenic seaplane ride away from the international airport. Domestic plane transfers are available from the nearby Dharavandhoo and Ifuru airports, which take 20 minutes, followed by a 45-minute speed boat ride to Furaveri Maldives.
The breathtaking scenic seaplane transfer to Furaveri Island takes about 45 minutes. The flights are operated by Trans Maldivian Airways (TMA) and available during daytime hours only. The flight times are subject to weather conditions and schedules may involve one short stop en route. Flight times are confirmed the evening prior to travel.
The domestic flight scenic, operated by domestic airlines Villa air or Island Aviation available during day and night time hours. The comfortable flights are followed by a 45 minute speedboat trip organised by Furaveri Maldives.
Furaveri Maldives is a Paradise island, where the open ocean meets the lagoon, and the warm sunset yellow of memorable evenings by the beach lulls you to sleep in a haven of trees. An island with an intriguing history, and rich with life – as evident in the white herons you meet through out the island, the vibrant screw-pine trees, the frequent turtles in the reef and the gentle mantas that bless the place with occasional visits.

Undoubtedly the most celebrated island in the South Pacific, Bora Bora is French Polynesia's leading lady. Her beauty is unrivaled and her fame, unwavering. Bora Bora is one of the few places on earth that everyone hopes to witness in their lifetime—and once you see it, you are forever enamored.
In this comparison video, you will see the Lagoonarium, a blue lagoon where you can swim with the most friendly stingrays, snorkel around the coral garden and then, once you exit the reef, you will see the lemon sharks under the deep blue waters of the Pacific Ocean.
Matira Beach in Bora Bora has often been voted one of the very best beaches in the world, and for good reason! The sand here is whiter than snow, and the water is the color of turquoise come to life. Sitting in the shade under a palm tree or taking a dip in these crystal-clear waters will make all your stress melt away in an instant. Make sure to bring a snorkel for your visit as you will find thousands of vibrant fish just off shore.
