Begonias are a large group of plants, they include the popular Rex Type Begonias as well as Cane Begonias, Wax, Rhizomatous and Tuberous types.

Grown mainly for the foliage, although some varieties also have attractive and long lasting flowers.

Begonias can be grown indoors, are well suited to growing on a patio or verandah as well as hanging baskets. Many types will grow well in the garden as long as drainage is good and winters are not to cold..

Begonias make a great addition to any area with light shade and with the combination of stunning foliage and flowers are a versatile plant.
