(28 Oct 2018) Supporters of far-right congressman Jair Bolsonaro celebrated into the night on Sunday after Brazil's Supreme Electoral Tribunal declared him the next president of Latin America's biggest country.
With 96 percent of ballots in the second round of voting counted, Bolsonaro won 55.5 percent of the votes, against 44,5 percent for leftist Fernando Haddad of the Workers' Party.
