Western historiography often portrays the Atlantic Ocean as a virtually uncrossed barrier before Christopher Columbus, suggesting it was as formidable as traversing several galaxies. This perspective has overly romanticized Columbus's voyage, insinuating it was beyond human capability and sidelining any consideration that others, particularly Africans (Blacks), could have achieved such feats.
