A compact triple fugue in five voices.
Composed by Calvin Huang for string quintet.
The subject entries are highlighted in solid colors, while thematic fragments are highlighted in faded colors.
The fugue loosely follows counterpoint conventions, allowing for expanded harmonies and infrequent parallel consonances between inner voices. The structure is rather dense, with overlapping expositions for the three subjects, with various stretti between expositional material. The most notable stretto appears at mm. 61 (2:04), where entries of all three subjects appear at one measure apart.
