One of my favorite lens + camera set ups to have in my camera bag! If you are anything like me, you get bored of taking the same portraits session after session. I noticed I was stuck in a loop going back to the same poses and prompts I’ve done a hundred times.
BUT, I realized that my boredom wasn’t *just* about the images, but it was about my approach to taking the images...
It took me a long time to dial in what I love about this combo of using a vintage lens on my medium format digital camera to create images like this.
The lens that am using is a 50 mm 1.4 Minolta lens. This is a old vintage lens for a 35 mm film camera that I'm using a lens adapter to use on my Fujifilm GFX 50 S even though this lens is not meant to use on a digital medium format camera it covers most of the sensor and it just creates a little bit of vetting around the corners and that's pretty easy to get rid of using either Photoshop AI or just by brightening it a little bit and cropping in just a touch.
