I began writing "the wake up call" in May of 2012 during my second semester of college in New York City. It was a very dark time in my life in which I was reflecting on the loss of a dear friend. My soul was in a tug of war battle that left me pondering the question of whether I was living my life to its fullest potential. A battle with depression can lead down many dark avenues. Whoever you are, wherever you live, and whatever hardships you've been through in your life, no matter what happens: keep going. Because if I've said it before, I'll say it again...live every day to its fullest.
"A life just ain't worth living, when you're dying everyday."
Sincerely, Alex John Butte
