Short realistic clip from a day out running, filming and comparing the Tamiya Grasshopper limited editions. Here's the Tamiya Grasshopper Black Edition with a 540 Mabuchi Motor Upgrade (similar to the Tamiya Hornet). One take, no music, no editing, no slow motion, one-handed driving, short and simple and in 4K. It's Tuesday!
Full edited video, with the re-release Tamiya Grasshopper Candy Green Edition (Tamiya 84331) from 2005/2013 with the stock 380 motor versus the re-release Tamiya Grasshopper Black Edition (Tamiya 84416) from 2005/2015 with an upgraded 540 motor, including GPS speed runs and slow motion - coming up soon.
Until then, for comparison, check out the Green Grasshopper with the 380 motor in this setting from this day in a similar 4K one-take, on the second channel here: [ Ссылка ]

The Tamiya Grasshopper 2005 (Tamiya 58346) is a re-release of the original Tamiya Grasshopper (Tamiya 58043) Assembly Kit from 1984. Several limited editions of the 2005 Grasshopper has been released.
Just realized I had never featured this Grasshopper on this channel. So here it is. I got it some time ago, second hand from a friend here in Denmark. It was perfect, since I had regretted a little I didn't get the Ltd. Black Edition when it was out, and perfect because my friend already had upgraded it with the 540 motor (and larger pinion) and all it needed was a painted driver, an ESC and a receiver. So with all the things that set it apart from my other Grasshopper, I had an excuse of having two.
Well, I of course have all the Hornets and DT-01's with the 540 motor so the performance and extra speed with this chassis is not new to me. But still fun to see a original-re-release Grasshopper with a little extra speed and power. For a few bucks, the difference between a 380 and 540 motor really is big.
