There’s nothing quite like eating hot cross buns fresh out of the oven around Easter time. It takes me back to being a kid in Belize.
⬇️⬇️⬇️ RECIPE BELOW ⬇️⬇️⬇️
👩🏻🍳 HOT CROSS BUNS
2 cups bread flour or all-purpose flour
1/3 cup white sugar
½ tsp salt
¾ tsp ground nutmeg
1 ½ tsp ground cinnamon
1 pkg (1/4 oz) or (7 g) or (2 1/4 tsp) active dry yeast
5 tbs butter, softened at room temperature
1 egg, beaten
1 ½ tsp vanilla
1/3 cup milk, warm
½ cup raisins
👩🏻🍳 EGG WASH
1 egg
1 tbs milk
Bake at 350F or 177C for 20-25 minutes
