As we approach the feast of Saint Matthew on September 21, may our reflection revolve around his experience of sin and his response to Jesus:
Am I ready to detach from my “sinful situation” whether it is brought by my work or my relationships?
Am I ready to attach myself to an “upright life in communion with Jesus” even if it means I will have to give up the comforts I am enjoying now?
Saint Matthew, pray for us, that our following of Jesus might become “perfect,” complete and true.
