Lets Look at Cetaphil vs CeraVe and work out which of the drugstore skincare brands offers the best cleanser for your skincare routine.

Hey guys and welcome back to Mad About Skin. In todays shorts video I want to share with you my thought son Cerave VS Cetaphil and which of these drugstore skincare brands offer the best cleansers for your skincare routine.

I am a fan of neither and think there are better options out there when it comes to drugstore cleansers - however in this match up I would probably opt for Cerave as I think it has a better set of ingredients but still only marginally.

In truth I wouldn't use either of these brands as they currently test on animals and are not cruelty free. That being said I think we can take an objective look at things and work out which is the best.

Cerave - most known for its cleansers and healing ointment, cerave is the biggest of the two brands in terms of sales and I think they have a better range of products. Unfortunately most of their skincare contains niacinamide so its hard to layer from within the brand and they do use some questionable ingredients, particularly when they claim to be great for sensitive skin.

Cetaphil - I dont think they have the same range of products as Cerave but the ones they have are in general a little better. Cetaphil products contain less ingredients than Cerave which is a good thing for those with sensitive skin and they dont use the same ingredients (like niacinamide) in all their products which again is a plus.
