The Police – Next To You (Shakerman 12” remix)
With The Police, and especially Sting in fact, persisting in their refusal (or rather fear, I think) to make that new material that everyone is really waiting for, we - the loyal fans - have to get the job done. So take a moment for this refreshed version of 'Next To You'.
It's not my own, but Shakerman's fantastic remix of this song. The very best out there in my opinion, so there's no need to try and improve on this remix. Stewart really hits the mark here, and there's a nicely extended guitar solo in the second part. The song feels like a steady train passing over you, with no time to catch your breath from start to finish. PLAY IT LOUD!
