After a day of being tourists in Niagara Falls we flew to Chicago to enjoy the Art Institute and have some deep dish Chicago style pizza. It was a good staging point for flying into Oshkosh, WI for Airventure 2022 the next day. Midway is a pretty busy airport and handles mostly commercial jet traffic but the fees were reasonable and it was convenient to downtown via the train. Somehow my IFR flight plan got changed to VFR along the way. Not sure how that happened but it was very confusing since I was all prepared to shoot an approach.
