bfffConnects presents interviews with leading black professionals and gatekeepers from the international film industry. In our second interview we talk with Isona Admetlla the fund coordinator of the World Cinema Fund (WCF).

We met her in the lobby of the cinema Arsenal in Berlin. We talked with her about the WCF fund, how filmmakers apply for it and why the WCF is so important for black filmmakers coming from Latin America, Central America, the Caribbean, Africa, the Middle East, Central Asia, Southeast Asia, the Caucasus as well as Bangladesh, Nepal, Mongolia and Sri Lanka.

If you are a black filmmaker from these regions and you have a film project for cinematic release but you need funding for - apply to the WCF.
It is one of the few funding institutions supporting specifically filmmakers and cinema „in regions with a weak film infrastructure, while fostering cultural diversity in German cinemas.“
