Keep your seed collecting of California native poppies fun and simple! We’ve been collecting poppy seeds for many years and this works for us. If you collect just a handful of poppy seed pods, you can just put them in a paper bag or envelope and set them in a place where they get air, like a garage on a shelf or in the house, or an outdoor shed or shaded patio. (Don’t put them in a dark musty closet or basement where they can grow mildew).
