This is the only known live recording of Jerry Jordan performing "Phone Call from God". It was recorded at his art show at Alterman-Morris Gallery in Houston, Texas in 1987.
Jerry Jordan recorded the "Phone Call from God" track in 1975 for MCA records on his solo album entitled "Phone Call from God". The album hit #1 on the Billboard country charts. It crossed over to the rock charts both in the U.S. and Europe. And sold close to a million records in its lifetime. Jerry Jordan received the Comic of the Year Award in 1976 from Billboard Music Magazine.
In 1978, Jerry went back to his first love of painting. He has since had a long and successful career as an artist. Primarily working in oils, Jerry Jordan captures the spirit and the beauty of the Southwest on his canvas.
