Headlamp features can be confusing (at least for us). We attempt a simple comparison of 2 similar and great headlamps, the 2022 NU25 "UL" and the newest NU20 "Classic" model. The NU20 Classic effectively replaces the NU25 2017 model.
Our Conclusions:
The NU20 Classic is smaller, lighter, and less expensive than the NU25 UL. While the NU25 UL has a larger battery and longer run time, the NU20 Classic appears to use its smaller battery more efficiently. We think the NU20 Classic will replace our NU25 UL. It packs smaller, charges faster, has simpler modes, and comparibly lasts long enough for night hiking and longer for around camp.
