On average, people with untreated ADHD have a shorter life expectancy of 12.7 years. HOWEVER, there is no difference in average life expectancy for people with TREATED ADHD.
Though meds are an effective treatment option (I take them daily, I'm not anti-meds!!!), you can treat ADHD without meds (my brother successfully manages/treats his ADHD without meds).
