A 23-storey Liver Bird statue and multi-business complex could become Liverpool's next major landmark and rival New York's Statue of Liberty.
A proposed design for 'Homecoming, Statue of Liverpool', by renowned architect David Backhouse, would stand 100m tall (or 328 feet) - more than double the height of 151-foot Lady Liberty.
Developers are seeking investment currently for the project that could cost up to £250m and would feature a luxury hotel and apartments, shops and offices.
