Specialty Cars of Allentown Pa completed this 1974 Porsche 2.7L S engine build that is going into a 1971 914-6. The engine was built with RS pistons, custom ground camshafts, balanced pistons and connecting rods, and ARP fasteners. The case was line bored, and the heads were fly cut, new valve guides and valves, intermediated shaft, timing chains, sprockets and tensioners were all installed.
We then fitted it with KMS engine management system, individual throttle bodies, crank fire ignition and mapped the fuel, ignition, and cold start systems. The engine now makes 234 hp and 209 ft lbs of torque.
The end result of installing the KMS system is a very smooth, reliable engine that is a turn key system. KMS has great cold start, throttle response, RPM pick up and works great with todays ever increasing ethanol fuels. With the KMS system, you gain optimum performance and drivability, while still maintaining the charm and class of your Porsche. KMS fuel injection and ignition systems give your car the best of both worlds.
