I decided to give this classic traditional jazz ballad a go in the style of The Original Dixieland Jass Band's version for Columbia in 1917, including the lineup of cornet, clarinet, trombone, piano and percussion (including wood blocks). I recorded it on a shaved Edison Brown Wax cylinder from ca.1899-1901. It ended up sounding pretty true to the dixieland jass era and I am quite pleased with it. Enjoy!
