Do you like this weapon in the game, but need more performance in real life? Check out my mod guide!
In this video I crack open one of the latest Fortnite blasters - the IR. This is a battery-powered, semi-auto flywheel blaster, but the performance out of the box is, well, meh. At 50fps (AU stock) and 70fps (US stock), this blaster performs no better (and no worse) than any other Nerf blaster on the shelves.
But with my mod guide, you can bump that up to 130fps with ease! I have replaced the motors and flywheels, and rewired for a 2S lipo using a MOSFET. I explain each step in detail, including how to do what I've done and why I made the choices I did.
I include chronograph results (before and after modding) and a firing demo at the end.
*** I've since come across this cage designed for the MA40, and possibly Revoltinator: [ Ссылка ] This seems to have the same screw post dimensions, so may work with the IR too.
The best Nerf-focused description that I've read of how (and why) MOSFETs work is available here: [ Ссылка ]
