The Yamaha Recording Custom is one of those drum sets that was beyond popular back in the 80s, but seems to be slowly fading out popularity over time. It's the kind of kit that has always intrigued me. Every pro played a Recording Custom. Dave Weckl, Steve Gadd, Carter Beauford, Vinnie Colaiuta, and the list goes on. Yamaha even claims that these are the MOST RECORDED drums in history. Buying a Recording Custom has been on my todo list, so I jumped on opportunity to grab this kit which came with a Ludwig Supraphonic. Another drum with the title of being the most recorded. Most recorded snare drum + most recorded drum set = Goated combo? Right?
